I am very excited to have received the full $2,000 planning grant from South Carolina Humanities for The Georgetown County Oral History Project.
This grant will help fund the project through its planning stages. It gives us funding for printing, supplies, travel, training... all of those things that get the ball rolling. January is going to be a very exciting month at The Georgetown County Museum!
The grant writing process was fairly painless. The museum had all of its necessary information organized and ready. The staff at SC Humanities were beyond helpful, even reading over the proposal prior to submission to their board for approval. They were immensely helpful and I am grateful for the time they were willing to give.
